Itinerary
Meeting at the Port: Your private guide will welcome you at Kusadasi port with a personalized sign where your name will be written on. We will then depart for Ephesus, the ancient world's most magnificent trade center.
House of the Virgin Mary: Discover this sacred stone house nestled on the peaceful slopes of Aladag Mountains. Believed to be the final residence of Mary, the mother of Jesus, this site was officially recognized as a place of pilgrimage by the Catholic Church after the visits of several Popes. You will have the opportunity to experience the tranquil atmosphere, light a candle, and drink from the "Spring of Mary," known for its holy waters.
Exploring the Ancient City: Instead of walking the full 1-mile downhill path, you will explore the "Upper City" on flat terrain (approx. 30 mins) and enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the rest of the ruins from the observation area. You will visit:
· The Odeon & State Agora: The heart of the city's political life and ancient governance.
· Prytaneion: The municipal hall where the sacred eternal fire of the city once burned.
· Domitian Temple: See the impressive remains of the temple dedicated to Emperor Domitian.
· Celsus Library (Panoramic View): View the city's most iconic landmark from the upper terrace (observation deck) without walking the steep slopes.
Temple of Artemis: A final stop at the site of one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Return to Port: After your journey through history, we will have scenic 20-minute drive back to the port or town center. Our services conclude here.
